and if accepted you will be required to attend an induction on Saturday 7th November

Midland Therapy Group warmly invites newly qualified counsellors to apply to our upcoming Interview Day. We are a supportive and ethical therapeutic service committed to making counselling affordable and accessible — both for the clients we serve and for newly qualified, self-employed professionals.

We understand the realities of establishing yourself in private practice. As an organisation that relies on self-referrals, we value openness and transparency and aim to offer a realistic, encouraging environment where counsellors can grow, develop confidence, and feel part of a connected professional community.

Who We’re Looking For-

We would love to hear from counsellors who:

• Have qualified within the last 12 months (or are about to qualify) Minimum requirement- Level 4.

• Are registered with a professional body (or are completing their Certificate of Proficiency)

• Are fully insured and comfortable working on a self-employed basis

• Can work in line with Midland Therapy Group’s Code of Conduct

• Are able to reliably commute to Kidderminster (we do not offer remote work)

• Are available for a minimum of 4 counselling hours per week

• Have strong organisational and time-management skills

What We Ask Of You-

Successful applicants will be expected to:

• Attend a 3-hour induction

  A group induction that will take place on Saturday 7th November 10 am - 1 pm. If we invite you to work with us, you must be able to attend

• Attend 3-monthly Management Supervision meetings

• Join us for our mandatory annual Away Day (Second Saturday in September)

• Where appropriate assist with additional tasks to support the business

Our Interview Day is designed to feel supportive and informative rather than intimidating, and will include:

• An introduction to Midland Therapy Group, our values, and our commitment to accessibility

• Group tasks/ activities

• A friendly, individual interview

• Time to ask questions and explore whether we’re the right fit for you
