BECKY WEIR

Becky has been working as a counsellor since 2006 working with all areas of mental health and difficult life issues, she has a background working with trauma and sexual violence.
She is also EMDR practitioner which allows a specialist approach to trauma work. She is a qualified clinical supervisor and accredited counsellor and member of the BACP. She is also qualified and experienced in working with young people. She is currently training with her dog Luna to provide Animal Assisted Therapy.
MICK GRAHAM

Mick is a professional & highly motivated individual who practices predominantly from the person-centred approach, but has experience using other approaches in his work. He has worked as a school counsellor, volunteered in a local hospice and currently specialise in supporting clients affected by trauma and sexual violence.
Mick provides clinical supervision for counsellors and others in the helping professions.
SARAH HICKMAN

Sarah is a BACP registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and a Couples and Relationship Counsellor. She graduated from Staffordshire University with a Masters focused around perinatal mental health.
She has also completed further training around Autism and ADHD and is continuing to develop her experience and knowledge in these areas.

RUTH ROBERTS
Ruth Roberts, MA, MBCAP (Snr Accred)
Ruth is a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and has been working with clients since 2003. She offers a supportive, person-centred space where people can explore their experiences in depth and find new ways of understanding themselves and their challenges.
Ruth has worked as a counsellor in higher education, the NHS and in private practice. She has particular experience in supporting clients whose emotional difficulties relate to education and learning, relationship challenges or living with long-term health conditions.
In addition to her counselling work, Ruth is a qualified supervisor, lecturer and researcher, with a continuing interest in how people make meaning and grow through their experiences

MELANIE DAW

Melanie is a qualified counsellor working with an integrative approach. This allows her to tailor the work to each of her client's needs, whether this is difficulties with relationships or struggling with anxiety and low self esteem.
Melanie is a registered member of the BACP and works with warmth and empathy allowing clients space to open up.
She has a background working with bereaved clients and also parents with children with additional needs.
She also completed an MSc exploring the psychological effects of the menopause in women.
GEMMA STEPHENSON

Gemma has experience of working as a counsellor with children and young people at Base 25. She has worked with adults, conducting clinical assessments for mental health presentations within the NHS Talking Therapies service.
Currently, she works within the Therapeutic Team within a children's residential setting, alongside counselling for the Midland Therapy Group.
Gemma has worked with a range of presentations, including depression and anxiety, change and life adjustment, trauma, and support with acceptance around change or influential conditions that may increase challenges faced in life. Gemma is currently working towards accreditation within the BACP.
SHELAGH FISHER

Shelagh has been a counsellor since 2006 working with all areas of mental health and difficult life issues, she has a background in drug and alcohol services and specialises in trauma work and sexual violence. She is trained in working with bereavement, mental health, and time limited counselling.
Shelagh is also trained to work with couples and can provide an assessment to discuss this further.
TRACEY BARNES

Tracey is a qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and is a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
Tracey is warm, compassionate and empathetic and understands the importance of ensuring clients feel listened to in a safe and supportive environment. Tracey works predominantly from a person-centred approach, but incorporates various theories and modalities in her work, depending on the unique lived experience of each client.
She has experience working with a wide range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, bereavement and relationship issues and has completed additional training with Women’s Aid to help support clients navigate the long term impacts of trauma and domestic abuse.
AMANDA BALLARD

Amanda is a qualified counsellor, currently working toward accreditation with the BACP. She is also training to become a supervisor.
She works with a range of mental health issues, integrating low-impact CBT strategies into a person-centred approach.
Amanda also teaches counselling, and enjoys supporting the next generation of counsellors.

HELEN PALMER
Helen is a newly qualified counsellor, having completed a Foundation Degree in Counselling and is undertaking an additional top up degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Helen offers a compassionate safe space for clients to explore difficult thoughts or emotions and navigate through life’s hardships. Working in a person-centred way, we are able to move at your pace and explore what feels helpful to you.
She has experience working with anxiety, depression, low self esteem and currently specialises in sexual violence and trauma.
JAMES TURRELL

James has a passion for supporting people, developed through a number of educational experiences and senior leadership roles. James works from a integrative approach to counselling.
James has a background in the retail sector, transitioning to education as a lecturer in Business Management. James will complete his training in 2025 to become a qualified practitioner.
HELEN HORTON

Helen has completed a Foundation Degree in Counselling and a BA in Health and Social Care.
Helen works using a Person-Centred approach, offering a warm, empathic space in which clients can explore and challenge their thoughts and feelings and be supported to find their way through life’s difficulties.
Helen has a particular interest in how our childhood experiences can impact our relationships; living with neurodiversity (especially when diagnosed later in life); and in loss and grief, whether that be loss of relationship, role or bereavement. Helen wishes to keep developing her knowledge and skills in those areas.

Chyna is currently undertaking her placement as part of her MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at Staffordshire University.
Working from an integrative approach, Chyna is able to adapt her practice to meet the unique needs of each individual. She brings experience from volunteering on crisis helplines and engaging in a range of supportive and educational roles, where she developed a strong foundation in helping people navigate a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges.
CHRISTINE CARTWRIGHT

Chris is a trainee counsellor and is currently undertaking her L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Chris uses a person-centred approach with clients, enabling clients to work at their own pace, working collaboratively to provide space to explore feelings and experiences.
Chris has worked in the health care sector and as a university senior lecturer. She has an interest in Breathworks mindfulness approaches for health and stress, which can be used as part of an integrative approach to counselling.
ROCHELLE BROWN

Rochelle works using a person centred approach offering a safe and non-judgmental space to support clients to feel heard and understood. She understands that each person is unique and deserves to be treated as an individual. She adapts and provides empathy to clients to help them explore their feelings.
Rochelle brings experience from volunteering on a crisis helpline supporting those in need. Rochelle is passionate about supporting individuals to understand their own emotions, grow and be self-fulfilled.

Craig is one of our team of trainee counsellors and is currently undertaking his placement to gain his Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling.
Craig primarily works from a person centred approach and offers an empathetic, safe, and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their feelings and has a passion for supporting people. He has been a Foster Carer for the last 8 years supporting a variety of young people as well as working with the birth families and professionals.
Craig is committed to helping you explore your experiences, understand your emotions, and discover your own path towards personal growth and fulfilment.
JAMES DELIN

James is a trainee counsellor currently undertaking his Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. He works from a person-centred approach, offering a warm, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace.
Alongside his training, James brings a background in coaching and creative work, with a particular interest in relationships, emotional awareness, and neurodiversity, including ADHD. He is passionate about helping clients better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives.
James is committed to ongoing personal and professional development and works in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.
